The Associate Art Producer will support the production team by coordinating various aspects of game development, ensuring smooth operations, and facilitating communication between different departments. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role engages primarily with our internal and external Environment Art, Character Art, and Concept Art departments (“art teams”), with the opportunity to grow into supporting additional departments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:

- Create and oversee the production schedule for art content, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met, and that the schedule is aligned with dependent departments like the storyboard team
- Build and maintain art asset tracking databases with status, naming conventions, and additional important information
- Work directly with the Leads to balance priorities and division of responsibilities
- Update velocity reporting to help guide hiring and ensure an accurate overview of projected completion and delivery dates
- Identify and address any delivery timeline discrepancies or issues promptly
- Team Coordination:
- Work closely with the art department and other team members to facilitate communication and collaboration.
- Organize and help run art related meetings, including distributing invites, taking notes, and following up on emergent agenda items
- Help facilitate the team sprint planning process by collaborating with departmental leads, leadership, and the broader production team to identify priorities
- Ensure that tasking and sprint priorities are accurately reflected across task management software (eg. Jira)
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed documentation of the production process, including schedules, task lists, and progress reports
- Provide clear updates to external teams about naming conventions, file locations, delivery specifications, and other technical documents
- Participate in milestone deliveries by documenting notable art progress
- Feedback Loop:
- Gather internal and external art updates, plan review meetings, and facilitate regular feedback sessions with the team
- Distribute notes and feedback in a timely manner
- Participate in regularly scheduled production meetings
- Problem Solving:
- Identify potential production issues and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
- Implement solutions to improve production efficiency and reduce delays
- Support Functions:
- Provide support to the lead producer and production team as needed.
- Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the production team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in production roles, preferably in the video game or film industry.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Game Design, Project Management, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Shotgrid).
- Familiarity with game development processes and pipelines.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AAA game development.
- Passion for video games and a deep understanding of various game genres.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.

- Onsite, Hybrid, or Remote depending on location and experience
- Onsite or Hybrid in Orange, CA, or remote in NY only
Hours
- This role’s expected hours are Monday - Friday from 7 AM Pacific Time - 4 PM Pacific Time (accounting for up to a 1 hour lunch break)
The standard annual base salary range for this role in the U.S. is $65,000 - $90,000 USD. Actual pay will vary depending on experience, qualifications, performance and location. The base salary range for locations outside of the U.S. will be adjusted according to location.
