Must have:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required
Minimum 2 years of project management experience
Experience with software development is required
Strong expertise with MS Project and MS Excel

Good to have:

Prior experience with project management methodologies
Experiences using Salesforce.com or another CRM
Strong written and verbal communication skills

We have an excellent opportunity for an Associate Project Manager to work on cutting-edge development projects in Galati, Romania as part of our respected Professional Services team of highly skilled engineers.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in managing customer deliverables alongside people management skills of team oversight. The qualified candidate will be self-driven with experiences of formal project management methodologies – early in career candidate working towards a PMP, AMP or PRINCE2 qualification are encouraged to apply. Experiences with customers from the automotive, aerospace and defence, telecommunications and industrial vertical markets would be especially valuable.

ABOUT YOU

Responsibilities:

Manage projects through the assigned technical staff, measured by completion of the design project within time and budget parameters to meet contract requirements
Coordinate the definition of project specifics, deliverables, and estimate scope, duration, and level or effort of proposed work, in conjunction with the technical staff
Responsible for the definition and development of the complete quote based on concise, well-defined descriptions of work to be performed, in conjunction with the account manager
Work with the commercial sales Account Manager, Business Development and Technical Pre-Sales Teams on project structure, project feasibility, cost, schedule, deliverables, and requirements for Statement of Work and Proposal
Conduct proposal presentations to customers in conjunction with the Sales Team
Ensures compliance of development with internal or/and external Quality Standards
Responsible for customer satisfaction including the evaluation of customer needs throughout the lifetime of a project, together with Sales field staff
Responsible to meet internal and external milestones on delivery to customer
Work independently on customer site managing day to day interactions

Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business management, or other relevant degree is required.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a project manager.
Some experience with software development is required. This could have been gained from university coursework, prior professional experience or from opensource contributions.
Strong expertise with MS Project and MS Excel is required.
Prior experiences with formal project management methodologies is valuable: working under a CMMi or PRINCE2 framework would be helpful.
Experiences using Salesforce.com (or another CRM) would be helpful
Strong written and verbal communication skills and a track record of delivering software development projects on time and ability to interact and manage communication with Customers, Partners and internally.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn
Solid decision-making skills and judgment – can be depended upon to meet goals, foresee and avert problems
