Job Details
Tesla Energy is actively seeking a motivated and dynamic Engineer to play a pivotal role in the Tesla Autobidder team, working across our energy product portfolio.
A key responsibility of this role involves studying energy markets and making bidding strategies and trading decisions.

- Study different markets and adjust bidding strategies and trading decisions
- Develop internal software tools and interactive dashboards tailored for different markets
- Aggregate and synthesize fleet data, constructing analytical tables and dynamic dashboards to facilitate tracking and comprehensive reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, engineering, software/firmware experts, to pinpoint the root causes and drive improvements
- Handle customer escalations from all regions
- Bachelor or master’s in electrical/electronic or equivalent engineering
- Solid foundation in engineering principles and intuitive problem-solving, applied to firmware/software
- Comfortable writing scripts to analyze data, including SQL and Python JupyterNotebooks
- Willingness to learn the AEMO markets and the electric grid, with potential growth into US and European electricity markets
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a collaborative approach
- Highly self-motivated individual who can work autonomously
- NEM/AEMO experience will be highly regarded
