Summary

The Automation Solution Architect Lead at Nissan Americas will lead automation solutioning and best practices for delivery teams. Responsibilities include solution design using UiPath, stakeholder management, overseeing implementation activities with development pods, selecting appropriate automation technologies, designing end-to-end automation solutions, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. The role also involves architecture development, quality assurance and testing, continuous improvement through mentoring and process optimization, and comprehensive documentation of best practices. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in operations or process consultancy and 3+ years of UiPath experience, strong leadership skills, and expertise in agile development and SDLC processes.

General Description: 
The Solution Architect Lead is tasked to lead automation solutioning and best practices for delivery teams. This role will oversee all solution development work for Nissan Americas and acting as an interface for stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design.

  • Assesses automation opportunities from a technical perspective and provides solutions using UiPath.

  • Acts as an interface for stakeholder management (escalations) where appropriate.

  • Works with the Development Lead, Business Analyst, Infrastructure Team, and Automation Cloud Administrator to oversee all implementation/process development activities by dev pods, as directed by the CoE Lead.

  • Select appropriate automation technologies and platforms based on project needs and industry best practices.

  • Design end to end automation solutions that meet business objectives and technical requirements.

Architecture Development.

  • Oversees architectural evaluation, design, and analysis of automation deployments.

  • Define the overall architecture of the RPA Solution, including bot deployment models, infrastructure requirements, and integration points.

  • Design scalable and resilient architectures that support future growth and expansion.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of the automation solutions.  

Quality Assurance and testing.

  • Provide technical guidance and oversight throughout the implementation of automation solutions.

  • Define testing strategies and methodologies for automation solutions together with Developer Lead.

  • Implement automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes in collaboration with the development team.

Compliance.

  • Ensure adherence to architectural principles, standards, and best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as data privacy regulations and security protocols.

Continuous Improvement.

  • Continues to educate and mentor Developers in best practice.

  • Monitor the performance of automation processes and identify areas for improvement and optimization.

  • Implement measures to monitor and mitigate risks associated with automation implementation.

  • Develop prototypes and proof of concepts to validate technical feasibility and demonstrate proposed solutions.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation and improvement.

  • Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines and automation workflows to streamline the development, testing and deployment process.

Documentation.

  • Owns best practice development documentation and standards.

  • Document architectural designs, technical specifications, and implementation guidelines.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

  • Postgraduate degree – Desirable.

  • UiPath Automation Solution Architect Professional Certification – Desirable.

Previous Work Experience

5+ years of experience in operations or process consultancy.

3+ years of experience designing automation solutions in UiPath.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Language: Spanish & English intermediate to advanced, Portuguese Desirable.

Must have:

  • Extensive experience leading and managing high performing teams.

  • Extensive experience with enterprise-wide business process improvement initiatives.

  • Adept at process assessments and understands implications, opportunities, and challenges of applying RPA to different business domains.

  • Experience with agile development and software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.

  • Possesses strong communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions, balancing technical considerations with business objectives.

Nice to have:

  • Working knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

  • Expertise with the entirety UiPath Automation Cloud suite.

  • Project Management Methodologies

  • AWS Cloud Platform

  • Experience with cross-regional teams.
