Job Details

Join our team as a Build Engineer Intern and gain hands-on experience in creating and maintaining infrastructure that powers seamless development, testing, and deployment pipelines. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers in a professional game development environment, learning industry-standard tools and best practices for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD). You'll contribute to the creation of stable, automated build environments and help ensure the quality and reliability of our development workflows. This role is ideal for someone passionate about DevOps, scripting, and game development infrastructure, with a strong desire to learn and grow.


Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
  • Assist with scripting tasks to streamline and automate development workflows.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to troubleshoot and resolve build-related issues.
  • Document build processes, configurations, and infrastructure tools for internal use.
  • Contribute to feedback loops by integrating build metrics and alerts into monitoring systems.


Baseline Qualifications
  • Basic scripting ability in PowerShell, Python, Gradle, or equivalent tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts, automation, or infrastructure as code.
  • Coursework or personal experience with programming in object-oriented languages such as C#, Python, or C++.
  • Comfortable working in Windows and/or macOS development environments.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.


Preferred Skills
  • Interest in learning CI/CD tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub Actions, or similar.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git or Perforce).
  • A passion for automation and Build systems.


Bonus Points
  • Exposure to Unity or Unreal Engine, or iOS development.
  • Experience building projects for macOS.
  • Experience working in a Linux environment.Enthusiasm for VR/AR, interactive media, or game technology.
  • Previous experience setting up CI/CD pipelines in school or personal projects.
  • Passion for games and staying up-to-date with emerging development tools and practices.
