Job Description

The Chief Technology Officer leads the organization's strategy and execution in solutions and technical innovations, focusing on core capabilities, intellectual property development, customer mission support, and competitive organic growth. This role involves improving and growing technical capabilities through vision, inspiration, and coaching. Key responsibilities include leading the company's technical vision, developing branded technical approaches, building solutions, and managing technical roadmaps and budgets. The CTO will also direct the company's technical strategic direction, oversee software infrastructure, manage technical solutions and volumes, develop staffing solutions, support operations, and act as a technology advisor to other departments. Additionally, the CTO will provide thought leadership, evaluate new technologies, oversee system design and architecture changes, communicate the technology strategy, and manage department budgets and productivity.
Must have:
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Master's degree in Engineering preferred
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related field
  • Lead technical vision and strategy

Position at SBM Management

Leads the organization’s strategy and execution in solutions and technical innovations in core capabilities, intellectual property development, customer mission support, and competitive organic growth by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate team members 

The CTO works with Executive Management and Operations to position the company for future growth by continually improving, enhancing, and growing 4insite’s technical capabilities through vision, inspiration, and coaching.  

Responsibilities

  • Lead the company’s technical vision in capabilities, develop branded technical approaches and methodologies, and build technical solutions and demonstrations that solidify and differentiate 4insite in the market. 
  • Lead the team in solving complex technical challenges, developing innovative solutions, and delivering technical products and services to meet market demands.  
  • Develop and own related short-term and long-term technical roadmaps and budgets; drive execution and enable the team to meet intended outcomes and ensure that resources are invested wisely. 
  • Directs the company’s technical strategic direction, development and capacity for future growth through core capabilities, solutions, and strategic partnerships. 
  • You will responsible for growing and nurturing our software infrastructure. 
  • Owns technical solutions including authoring and delivering technical volumes. 
  • Developing staffing solutions and basis of estimates for future technical support. 
  • Supports operations as needed in project transitions, project execution and implementation. 
  • Works in a consultative fashion with other department heads and operational leaders as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Provide thought leadership within the company; research and evaluate cutting-edge practices and enabling technologies for internal adoption as needed. 
  • Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture 
  • Communicate 4insite’s technology strategy. 
  • Acts as a good steward of 4insite’s resources and ensures control of technology investments and achieving expected returns. 
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the software development team members.  
  • Manages department budget. Understands cost drivers for human capital and creative solutions to manage productivity. 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering preferred but not required, BS/BA in Computer Science, or a related field from a four-year college or university with 10+ years of experience. 
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license. 

Compensation: $250,000 - $500,000 per year
