Job Description

The Commodity Buyer will be responsible for guiding projects related to workplace management, shaping how people experience and use space. This includes planning and optimizing space, driving renovation and improvement projects, overseeing moves and installations, elevating the workplace experience by partnering with cross-functional teams, leading and mentoring junior colleagues, and solving complex challenges with minimal oversight. The candidate should have experience in space-planning principles, ergonomic standards and change-management.

We’re looking for an experienced workplace-management professional (generally 5 or more years in a similar role) to guide projects that shape how our people experience and use our space.

What you’ll do
Plan and optimize space: Analyze current and future needs, then develop layouts that maximize comfort, efficiency, and brand alignment.

Drive renovation and improvement projects: Coordinate all phases of office remodels, expansions, and reconfigurations—including schedules, budgets, and vendor relations.

Oversee moves and installations: Manage the delivery and placement of furniture, equipment, and technology so every team has what it needs on day one.

Elevate the workplace experience: Partner with cross-functional teams (IT, HR, Facilities) to ensure each space supports productivity, collaboration, and employee well-being.

Lead and mentor: Provide guidance to junior colleagues, review their work, and foster their professional growth.

Solve complex challenges: Tackle ambiguous problems, anticipate obstacles, and develop creative, data-driven solutions with minimal oversight.

What you bring
Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary workplace projects from concept through completion.

Deep understanding of space-planning principles, ergonomic standards, and change-management best practices.

Strong budgeting, vendor-negotiation, and project-scheduling skills.

Ability to communicate clearly with executives, architects, contractors, and end users alike.

A proactive mindset—comfortable making independent decisions while knowing when to escalate.

 

Salary Range: $70,000 

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
