Job Summary
As a Consultant in a Data Warehousing project, the role involves designing and implementing effective data architectures, ensuring efficient data integration and management. The consultant will also provide strategic insights to improve decision-making processes, implement best practices for data governance, and offer training for internal teams. The responsibilities include translating business requirements into technical terms, leading project teams in the design and development of data warehouse and reporting solutions, optimizing ETL processes, defining project scope, synthesizing findings, developing recommendations, and communicating results. Project management responsibilities include DW implementation, managing communication, leading meetings, managing timelines and serving as a key client contact. The consultant will also be involved in promoting employee engagement, recruiting, training, and providing ongoing education, employee mentorship and coaching.
Must Have
- Engineering/Master’s Degree from a Tier-I/Tier-II institution/university in Computer Science.
- 5-8 years of relevant consulting-industry experience.
- Deep understanding of data management best practices, data modeling and data analytics.
- Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools like Tableau and PowerBI.
- Strong understanding of U.S. pharmaceutical datasets and their applications.
- Logical thinking and problem-solving skills along with an ability to collaborate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products & data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Strong project management and people management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and effective time management skills.

Job Description
- Translate business requirements into technical terms and leads project teams in the design and development of data warehouse and reporting solutions that solve business problems
- Evaluate and assist in optimizing ETL processes and database performance to enhance overall system efficiency
- Works with project leadership to define project scope and development approach for each project, including conducting issue analysis and hypothesis development.
- Synthesizes findings, develops recommendations, and communicates results to clients and internal teams.
- Distill complex concepts into easy-to-understand frameworks and presentations
- Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and scopes while ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders
- Assumes project management responsibilities for DW implementation on each project with minimal supervision, including managing onshore/client communication, leading meetings, drafting agendas, managing timelines and serving as a key client contact for project discussions.
- Monitors progress, manages risk and ensures key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
- Assists in supporting management, including promoting employee engagement, recruiting, training, and providing ongoing education, employee mentorship and coaching, contributes to internal initiatives as needed
- Work with leadership on any business unit related initiatives such as process improvement or innovation initiatives
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Engineering/Master’s Degree from a Tier-I/Tier-II institution/university in Computer Science or relevant concentration, with evidence of strong academic performance.
