Kokotree is seeking a passionate and experienced Curriculum Developer to join our growing team. As a Curriculum Developer, you will be responsible for developing Kokotree’s early childhood development curriculum for preschoolers through 2nd grade. You will create knowledge maps, sequence objectives, organize and break down topics into lessons, and work closely with a team of writers, creatives, and engineers to bring the curriculum to life through videos and interactive digital technology. You will also research and stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood development, and implement the curriculum in the Kokotree app and website.

Must have:

8+ years experience in early childhood development
5+ years of classroom teaching
2 years of commercial curriculum development
Bachelor's degree in education or related field
Excellent written and communication skills
Passion for making a difference in young lives

Good to have:

Graduate degree in education or child psychology

Curriculum Developer

We’re hiring a Curriculum Developer. We’re looking for a driven, passionate, and professional educator with substantial experience in early child development curriculum development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of child development stages, experience developing and implementing curriculum, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of young children.

Responsibilities

Developing Kokotree’s early childhood development curriculum for preschoolers through 2nd grade
Creating knowledge maps for concepts, principles, and skills needed for children to master topics
Sequencing objectives for all topics covered in Pre-k through second grade
Organizing and breaking down topics into lessons to be communicated through video and various digital technologies
Best practice approaches in teaching STEAM concepts, principles, information, skills, content, and pedagogy
Working closely with Script Writers, Creatives, Artists, Engineers, and producers in bringing our curriculum to life through videos and other interactive digital technology
Researching and staying up-to-date on best practices in early childhood development
Creating instructional materials and resources for educators and parents
Implementing curriculum in the Kokotree app and website

Requirements

A minimum of 8 years experience in early childhood development, curriculum development, or a related field
5+ years of classroom teaching
2 years of commercial curriculum development experience
Bachelors degree in education or related field
Preferred graduate degree in education or child psychology
Excellent written and communication skills
A passion for making a difference in the lives of young children
