Job Description

As a Customer Solutions Consultant, you'll partner with Google Cloud's technical Sales teams to showcase Google Cloud's capabilities to customers. Responsibilities include understanding customer needs, developing cloud solutions, conducting proofs of concept, and troubleshooting technical issues. You'll use your expertise to present solutions and engage with customers to understand their requirements. You will also work to identify business opportunities, address technical objections, and support bid responses. This involves direct work with Google Cloud products, guiding customers through application environment assessments, and recommending modernization roadmaps. You will also recommend integration strategies and architectures for successful implementation on Google Cloud.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years cloud native architecture experience
  • Experience presenting to technical and executive stakeholders
  • Cloud/on-premise infrastructure engineering experience
  • Expertise in virtualization or containerization
Good to have:
  • Cloud migration experience
  • Security concepts expertise (encryption, identity management etc.)
  • Networking concepts (SDN, routing, VPNs etc.)
  • Customer relationship building experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
  • Experience with security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and penetration testing.
  • Experience with networking concepts such as software-defined networking, routing, virtual private networks, load balancers and firewalls.
  • Experience prospecting, and building and maintaining customer relationships from scratch.

You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks. You will use your expertise and presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Share in-depth enterprise infrastructure modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
  • Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
  • Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environment(s) and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for infrastructure and application modernization.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
