This role is crucial for managing product orders, forecasts, budgets, builds, allocations, and shipments for Connectivity, Broadband & Networking PMO. Accuracy and efficiency are vital as the Operations team relies on this information for daily hardware delivery to customers. Key responsibilities include validating forecasts against hardware plans, coordinating demand meetings, leveling forecasts to build schedules, ensuring order accuracy, monitoring aging inventory, providing timely allocations, managing program budgets, and generating reports for management. The role also involves assisting customers with orders and estimated delivery dates.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Marketing
  • 2+ years of experience in Project/Program management, Sales Operations, Demand Planning, Operations, or Manufacturing
  • Strong English communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Oracle
  • Experience with strategic demand planning/forecasting/manufacturing management
Good to have:
  • Prior experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Understanding of semiconductor product lifecycle
  • Ability to interface with various functional groups
  • Proven organizational and planning skills
  • Detail-oriented with analytical aptitude
  • Ability to lead teams and drive projects to completion

General Summary:

This position belongs to Connectivity, Broadband & Networking PMO to manage product orders, forecast, budget, builds, allocations, and shipment. This entails monitoring hardware orders for accurate information, working directly with program leads for allocation against customer demand, and processing updates or cancellations of orders in the Rapid Response system.  The Operations team relies on the information generated from allocations on a daily basis in order to deliver much needed hardware to customers, so accuracy and efficiency is vital to this position.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Validate forecast given against hardware plans, hardware’s lifecycle and build dates.
  • Coordinate weekly demand meetings with CSPM, Tech Lead, and Eng OPS to review new forecast, budget, build schedule priorities, current MCNs and adjust forecast accordingly.
  • Level load forecast to build schedule based on capacity and available materials.
  • Ensure accuracy of MCNs and employee information in Web Order Form and approve orders.
  • Monitor aging inventory report to prevent excess inventory.
  • Provide allocations to operations in a timely manner.
  • Confirm allocations match demand and shipments decrement forecast.
  • Manage program budget.
  • Provide analysis and reports to PMs/management based on forecast, shipments, and budget.
  • Assist customers with orders and estimated delivery dates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing or related field.
  • 2+ years related experience in one or more of the following areas: Project/Program management, Sales Operations, Demand Planning, Operations,  Manufacturing
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills, ability to clearly organize and articulate information.
  • Strong presentation skills, excellent analytical skills, and eye for detail.
  • Must be fluent with Microsoft applications especially Excel, familiar with Oracle, able to learn new systems quickly.
  • Experience with strategic demand planning /forecasting/manufacturing management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the semiconductor industry and understanding of semiconductor product lifecycle.
  • Ability to interface with various functional groups across Qualcomm.
  • Proven organizational and planning skills.
  • Detail oriented with an aptitude for analytical work, organized, able to lead teams of all levels and drive projects to completion on time.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of Demand Planning, Project Management, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Operations Planning, or related work experience.
