Director of People Operations & Technology
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing the intersection of people operations and technology at Opendoor. You will lead a high-performing team and partner with key stakeholders to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and the overall employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive HR technology initiatives, streamline processes, and leverage data-driven insights to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & Execute Strategy: Define and implement a comprehensive strategy for people operations and technology that aligns with Opendoor’s business objectives.
- HR Technology & Systems Ownership: Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of HR technologies, including HRIS, ATS, LMS, performance management, and employee engagement platforms. Ensure seamless integration to support data integrity, reporting, and analytics.
- Process Optimization & Automation: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through automation and technology-driven solutions across key HR processes such as onboarding, benefits administration, performance and rewards management, and offboarding.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Monitor key HR metrics, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership to align people operations initiatives with broader business priorities, ensuring an exceptional employee experience.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure HR systems and processes adhere to compliance standards, data security, and industry best practices.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of emerging HR technology trends and recommend solutions that enhance scalability, efficiency, and employee engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record in a senior people operations or HR technology leadership role.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Workday and other HR systems, including ATS, LMS, and employee engagement platforms.
- Process Improvement: Experience with methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks to optimize processes.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to align HR technology and operations initiatives with business strategy.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Experience leveraging HR data and analytics to drive insights and decision-making.

Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The U.S. base pay range for this position is $146,400-$185,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. This role is also eligible for a company-wide bonus program and participation in the company’s equity plan. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, 12 paid holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, basic life insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
