As a Director of Marketing Partnerships, you will be responsible for developing and executing partnership and sponsorship initiatives, including strategy, planning, and execution. You will collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals, drive customer engagement, and strengthen brand loyalty. Your responsibilities include managing partnerships, budget and vendors, content creation, and performance measurement, working with prestigious sports leagues such as the NFL, MLB, NHL, and others. The role also involves overseeing a small team, contributing to business objectives, and ensuring seamless execution of marketing programs.
Must have:
  • 5-10 years experience in partnerships program management.
  • Experience with event strategies and content creation.
Good to have:
  • MBA preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and competitive landscape.

Extreme Networks, a leader in enterprise cloud networking, is seeking an experienced Partnerships/Sponsorships manager to join our dynamic and rapidly growing Brand team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing Partnerships, CXO and Corporate Events, you will play a key role in shaping, overseeing, and managing strategic partnership/sponsorship initiatives across the organization – including creating and executing partnership strategies, building relationships with key partners, and aligning partner activities with the company’s business goals. In this high-visibility position, you’ll collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and drive impactful results. Your efforts will be critical in advancing business objectives, boosting customer engagement, and strengthening brand loyalty. You will also have the opportunity to work with prestigious sports leagues/brands such as the NFL, MLB, NHL, NASCAR, Liverpool FC, Manchester United, F1, and many more. As part of the brand organization, you will manage a small team to help orchestrate successful partnership-driven activations that elevate our presence and influence. Strategy and Execution

    Own the strategy, planning, logistics, execution, and measurement of partnerships activations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

    Coordinate executive participation, project timelines, resources, and deliverables to drive successful implementation and promote the Extreme Networks brand and portfolio.

    Manage special projects and promotions, and activations to enhance attendee experiences.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

        Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to define program objectives, scope, and success criteria. Facilitate communication and alignment across departments to ensure a cohesive approach and experience.

        Collaborate with business stakeholders across product marketing, sales, product, and operations to align efforts and create best-in-class event experiences aligned with our company vision, priorities, and target audiences.

Content Management:

        Identify content needs and manage the development process and timelines for all partnership content, including messaging, social media, and campaigns.

        Align efforts with overall audience acquisition goals.

Performance Measurement and Reporting:

        Establish metrics, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to track the effectiveness of partnerships programs and initiatives.

        Analyze data and insights to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

        Prepare regular reports and summary presentations for senior leadership and stakeholder readouts.


Budget and Vendor Management:

        Manage program budgets, resources, and vendor relationships effectively.

        Monitor expenditures, track progress against financial targets, and optimize resource allocation to maximize program impact and ROI.


Post-Event Marketing:

        Work with content strategy and demand gen teams to syndicate event content into post-event marketing efforts.


Skills and Experience

        Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred)

        Experience: 5-10 years in the high-technology area, including proven experience in partnerships program management and customer engagement in a fast-paced environment.

        Proven Success: A track record of developing and executing successful event strategies, including content strategy, campaigns, messaging, and lead generation for proprietary, industry, and partner events.

        Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to flexibly and resourcefully solve problems during event planning and execution, ensuring quick and effective resolution.

        Collaboration: Skilled in communication, cross-functional collaboration, and influencing executive decision-makers.

        Innovation: Ability to ideate and execute new event experiences and attendee journeys.

        Organization: Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Working knowledge of project management and event planning software and technology solutions. Experience with Monday.com a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

        Industry insights: Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and competitive landscape.

        Operations: Proficiency with budgeting and financial analysis.
