Job Description

As an Engineering Manager at Google Cloud, you'll lead a team of talented Software Engineers responsible for developing and maintaining Easy SaaS products. You'll guide the team's technical direction, ensuring high code quality, reliability, and performance. You'll also be responsible for setting priorities, managing project deliverables, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful product development and deployment. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for building innovative and impactful solutions.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
8 years of experience in software development
3 years of experience in technical leadership
2 years of experience in people management

Good to have:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science
Experience working in a matrixed organization

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience working in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

Build, Develop and Manage a team of Software Engineers, make direct technical contributions, and provide guidance to team members. Guide the team through engaged priorities and balance short-term needs versus long-term strategic goals.
Establish and maintain high technical standards, ensuring code quality, reliability, and performance.
Empower and grow the team’s leadership and technical impact with teamwork, cross-functional collaboration, and technical excellence.
Set the technical direction and plan deliverables and milestones. Drive execution, meet deadlines, and communicate status.
Participate in engineering engagement with internal teams across sites and external partners, and influence and manage relationships with them.
