Job Description

The HR Specialist supports human resources by providing services important to the full employee life cycle as well as business support for the HR organization. This position is a key part of the Zones culture and is an integral part of the team member experience. This person will represent the first insider glimpse to Zones. We want that to be positive and energizing for each and every person who joins our team! The HR Specialist will be responsible for providing HR administration work, delivering HR services, programs and regulatory compliance, onboarding and offboarding, supporting Zones culture and engagement initiatives, HR reporting and special projects.
Must have:
  • Provide HR administration for assigned business units.
  • Deliver and maintain HR services and regulatory compliance.
  • Onboarding and offboarding.
  • BA in Business or a related field.
  • 2+ years experience in Human Resources.
  • HRIS systems knowledge, preferably Jobvite and ADP.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Strong excel knowledge and experience.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage tasks.
Good to have:
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Prior working knowledge of background screening processes.
  • Work with a sense of urgency in fast-paced environment.

Position Overview: 
  
The HR Specialist supports human resources by providing services important to the full employee life cycle as well as business support for the HR organization. What you’ll do as the HR Specialist:  
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 
  • Provide support and perform the HR administration work for assigned business units 
  • Deliver and maintain HR services, programs and regulatory compliance including leave administration and advising on policies and procedures 
  • Onboarding and offboarding  
  • Support Zones culture and engagement initiatives by working collaboratively with HRBP’s to achieve departmental and company objectives 
  • HR reporting including companywide dashboards 
  • Completes special projects as assigned 
What you will bring to the team:  
  • BA in Business or a related field  
  • 2+ years required of experience in the Human Resources  
  • Prior experience and strong understanding of HRIS systems, preferably in Jobvite and ADP   
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer-focused approach  
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office suite required  
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint required 
  • Strong excel knowledge and experience required  
  • Prior working knowledge of background screening processes   
  • Good organizational skills and be able to manage tasks with minimal supervision  
  • Must work with a sense of urgency and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment  

Work Arrangement:
This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring team members to be onsite at our Headquarters location in Auburn, WA at minimum 2 days per week. The remaining workdays can be performed remotely, subject to team and business needs.

Qualified candidates can expect an hourly range of $26.00 – $29.00.
