Big Ant Studios is seeking a highly talented and motivated I.T. Support Assistant to play a key role in the studio. This role involves providing technical support to developers by addressing issues related to their PCs, consoles, and network infrastructure. You will be responsible for on-site support in the Melbourne office and remote support for the Adelaide office, assisting staff with day-to-day tech support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up new PCs, and keeping asset management up to date. You will also gain exposure to local servers and cloud systems.
Must have:
  • Certificate/degree in IT or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with PC hardware and Windows.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Exposure to version control software like Git.
  • Strong communication skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience on current-gen consoles.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Experience with virtualization.

Big Ant Studios are looking for a highly talented and motivated I.T. Support Assistant to play a key role in the studio.

Join us in making some of consoles and PCs biggest sports titles from our centrally located Melbourne studio.

We are searching for someone to join our IT Support team, which plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and efficient productivity across our development teams. This position involves providing technical support to developers by addressing issues related to their PCs, consoles, and network infrastructure. As an IT Support Assistant, you will contribute to a positive work environment by swiftly resolving technical challenges, tracking and reporting support activities, and supporting ongoing system improvements.

The core areas of focus for this role are:

  • On-site support in our Melbourne office and remote support for our Adelaide office
  • Helping staff with day-to-day tech support
  • Troubleshooting basic hardware, software, and networking issues
  • Setting up new PCs and production devices
  • Keeping our asset management up to date
  • Getting exposure to local servers and cloud systems

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • A certificate or degree in IT, Information Systems, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Proficiency with PC hardware, operating systems (Windows 10/11), networking knowledge, software installation/support, and remote access tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Exposure to version control software such as Git, Git-LFS, SVN
  • Happy to roll up your sleeves in a hands-on environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

With extra consideration given to:

  • Experience on the current generation of consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2)
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with virtualisation or container-based applications
