The future starts here! Ready to join NXP?
Become part of the startup of a dynamic team that is leading NXP on a digital transformation journey. There is a lot of room for new ideas and innovations and you will be supported to have a continuous focus on development, coaching and creating a supportive environment for your team.
Your Team
Within NXP Operations the Product Diagnostic Quality Centers (PDQC’s) provide world class services in Failure, Process & Material Analysis and Quality Problem Solving and Prevention. PDQC takes ownership on quality aspects in the whole chain from technology development and product design through release, safe launch and yield improvement until manufacturing problem solving and customer complaint analysis. The PDC infrastructure is spread across 6 locations: Nijmegen (NL), Austin (US), Tianjin (China), Bangkok (Thailand), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Kaohsiung (Taiwan).
Artificial Intelligence and machine learning are expected to become strong drivers in the near future. NXP has created multiple work packages within a cross-industry collaborative structure. This student assignment is a spin-off of one of those projects within such a work package. Failure analysis and reliability play a key role in safeguarding the quality of micro-chips. Any analysis in this field is typically concluded with the writing of a technical report that summarizes the steps taken as well as the main findings. All these reports together form a substantive body of work, suitable for the adoption of a machine learning approach toward search, evaluation, and improvement. Therefore we are looking for an enthusiastic intern with a data science background to work on automatic analysis of technical reports.
