Summer IT Intern - IT Asset Management Program (ITAM)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented summer IT intern to join our IT Asset Management Program (ITAM). This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing and optimizing IT assets within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing asset management strategies to manage the lifecycle of all IT assets

• Maintain a complete inventory of all hardware and software assets, including purchases, licenses, and contracts

• Ensure compliance with asset management policies and regulations

• Coordinate with the IT team to identify and evaluate potential IT asset purchases

• Support the procurement process by interfacing with technology vendors and contractors

• Conduct regular audits, analyze, and report on the cost, performance, and value of IT assets

• Help manage the disposal and replacement of obsolete or ineffective IT assets

• Collaborate with various departments to optimize the use of existing IT asset resources and avoid unnecessary asset purchases

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Familiarity with IT asset management principles and practices is a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
