Responsibilities

  • To be that all round artist you know you are, turning your hands to many things from concepts to modelling, characters to environments.
  • Create beautiful and impactful 3D art.
  • Work collaborative with the art team to maintain art style and standards.
  • Work well with others.
  • Be self-directed and prioritise workload.
  • Drive quality and innovation within our games.

Qualifications

  • Great grades from an art degree.
  • A great portfolio of 2D and 3D work that demonstrates a range of styles.
  • Experience of Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush and Substance Designer/Substance Painter and some proficiency of using these, or similar software.

We are the creators of the multi-award winning Joe Danger games, the huge and evolving No Man’s Sky and a recently announced side project The Last Campfire and when we’re not doing that, we’re probably working on something new.

We believe that small talented teams can achieve great things. As a team of four in a tiny room above a tile shop, we created the multi million selling Joe Danger. As a dozen developers in a leaking shed, we borrowed our neighbour’s internet and created one of the biggest selling new IPs in video games – No Man’s Sky.

The success of No Man’s Sky has given us a nice office and a whole bunch more freedom to expand creatively. These days we try to join the stability and quality of AAA development with the freedom and creativity of an independent studio. We are excited to bring new games that wouldn’t exist otherwise into the world.
