A Dutch game development studio is seeking a talented Level Designer to join their team. You will be working on an AAA FPS project, designing and scripting game levels. You'll need solid experience in Level Design, ideally on AAA FPS games, expertise in UE5, and strong scripting and balancing skills.

We are currently seeking a talented Level Designer to join our team. In this role, you get the opportunity to AAA project. You will work on a current FPS AAA project we are working on, where you will be overseeing the gameplay passes and adding value on level creation, as well as maintaining the scripts, passes and balancing. You will also be working cross-disciplinary with our game designers, art & Tech team to ensure the relevance of layouts.

Your contribution will extend beyond tasks and targets; it's about making a lasting, positive difference in our workplace and community. 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Design, script and implement areas of the game

  • Actively participate design-specific discussions regarding Level Design reviews and design issues

  • Clear and reliable communication with own cross-disciplinary team and internal stakeholders

  • Conceptualize, design, and create levels

  • Create design documentation based on the direction of our Lead and Design Director

  • Work closely with the GD & Tech team to ensure the relevance of layouts with existing system

  • Work in close collaboration with Environment Team to design balanced, readable environments that serve the player experience

  • Validate the playability of the environment with testers, Artists, and Gameplay Programmers. 

What You Will Bring:  

  • You have solid experience in Level Design, ideally on AAA FPS games

  • Expertise in UE5

  • You have a good ability to illustrate your intentions

  • Solid experience with scripting and balancing

  • You are creative, analytical, autonomous and rigorous

  • Your English is fluent

  • You are passionate about video game creation and have a very good video game culture.
