Enterprise Technology/Telecom is looking for an individual with accomplished professional experience to manage a Telecom Business team. In this role, you will lead a team of salaried professionals and collaborate with others in Telecom and Finance on a regular basis.
This position requires an individual who has a positive attitude and is passionate about service, support, and developing a talented team. The ideal candidate is a thought partner who is highly motivated and a self-starter. The Manager, Telecom Business Office must have a strong background in accounting/finance to address operational and financial risk.
This position will report to the Senior Manager of Telecom & Network Services.
What You Will Do:
Drive value across the organization by continuously improving how Telecom delivery and financials are managed and monitored
Ensure smooth running of key FP&A cycles (Forecast, Accrual, Annual Operating Plan, and LTP) across Telecom, coordinating all deliverables
Closely monitor quarter end accrual and recommend any adjustments to forecasts to ensure financial targets are met
Drive Finance transformation initiatives, improve efficiencies and share best practices
Collaborates and proactively communicates across multiple groups to promote transparency and understanding related to project planning, forecast, and business processes
Experience managing a diverse team of professionals with the ability to inspire and motivate to produce quality work
Proven ability to successfully operate in a matrix organization where partnership and influence are key drivers of success
Demonstrate exceptional critical thinking, strategic planning, and process management skills
Provide robust financial analysis including investment appraisal for new business activities, as well as day to day management of risks and opportunities
Facilitate and co-author business cases, CAR memos, proforma and decks for both strategic and tactical efforts
Review and approval of all accounting entries
Works with process owners and stakeholders to design a future-state business process that is better suited to the goals of the program or initiative
Participates in on-call leadership rotations for managing the troubleshooting and system restoration of Telecom’s services, primarily responsible for coordinating/communicating on behalf of Telecom during major incidents after hours and weekends, rotating on a weekly basis with other leaders
Performs additional duties as assigned by the Sr Manager, Network Engineering and Operations (NEO) or appropriate Telecom/NEO executives
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Sr Analyst or Manager with 3+ years demonstrated experience in finance, data analysis or business processes
Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen
Collaborative mindset combined with the ability to work independently
Firm grasp of Forecasting & Planning systems, policies and processes is an advantage
Strong relationship building skills and a highly professional “client service orientation”
Charismatic, dynamic, and effective communicator, able to leverage influence without authority to meet high-profile and dynamic objectives
Demonstrate organizational savviness with keen understanding of how organizations function and ability to influence peers and leaders
Flexible, special-projects orientation coupled with solid multi-tasking abilities
High energy level, strong work ethic, self-driven, independent thinker who is results-oriented and decisive
Accustomed to managing large scale, multi-million, multi-year, highly matrixed projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey data and analysis to internal and external customers; effectively able to extract and explain the “story” from the data
Preferred Qualifications:
Intermediate knowledge of the features, functions, and transaction processes in SAP
Proven success collaborating with a range of partners while understanding multiple perspectives
Ability to participates in and lead change management activities associated with process improvement.
Engages leadership and other departments to obtain support and buy-in for changes.
Partners with management, project champions, and process owners to align process improvement initiatives with business objectives.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college in Accounting, Finance, Data Analysis; professional certification desired but not required (ITIL, PMO and or IIBA) or equivalent work experience
Preferred Education:
Graduate degree in Data Analytics, Technology, Finance, or related field (MBA, MSA, etc.)
