Framestore New York is seeking talented VFX interns for their 2025 Launchpad program. This paid, 4-month internship (June 9 - September 26, 2025) offers hands-on experience in a production environment within their award-winning CG team. Interns will work alongside experienced artists, receive mentorship, participate in project reviews, and handle creative briefings. The program focuses on skill development across various CG disciplines (FX, Generalist, Modeling, Lighting, Texturing, Animation). A hybrid work model is used, requiring internet access for remote work and commutable distance to the NYC studio for on-site days. Hourly pay is $21.
Must have:
  • Good working knowledge of Houdini and/or Maya
  • Working knowledge of Arnold (or comparable rendering platforms)
  • Ability to interpret and follow reference material
  • Familiarity with Linux systems (or eagerness to learn)
  • Current work authorization for the USA
  • Availability to work 40 hours a week

Framestore New York is looking for the next generation of VFX talent with a passion for CG (in any discipline - FX, Generalists, Modeling, Lighting, Texture, Animation) to take part in a 4-month paid internship working in our award winning CG team.


Our internship program is focused on developing the candidates skills in a production environment. You will be matched with a mentor who will provide instruction and regular reviews of your work, in addition to inclusion in the day-to-day workings of our CG team. You will work alongside experienced artists, attend project reviews, and take creative briefings.


The internship will start on June 9, 2025 and finish on September 26, 2025.

Deadline for applications is end of day (PST) March 31, 2025.

To apply for this internship please put together a cover letter and a portfolio demonstrating your best CG work. If you have a particular passion for an area of CG, please let us know in your cover letter and show this in your reel. 


Internships will be conducted in a hybrid model. Please make sure you have internet access for your remote days and that you are within a commutable distance to the New York City studio for onsite days.

Internships are paid at $21 per hour. Candidates must have current work authorization for the USA and be available to work 40 hours a week. No financial relocation assistance will be offered.

Job requirements

  • A good working knowledge of Houdini and/or Maya

  • Familiarity with Linux systems (or eagerness to learn)
