As a People (HR) Partner, you will provide professional guidance and expert advice on HR-related topics, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and organizational policies. You will focus on delivering high-quality HR services, acting as a key driver of employee and labor relations strategies. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing benefits and well-being initiatives, advising on M&A and reorganizations, providing support for performance improvement plans, overseeing absence and sick leave cases, handling disciplinary and grievance cases, and escalating complex employee relations matters. You will also bring specialized expertise in labor relations and workforce transitions.
Must have:
  • Bachelor/Master's degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in People Management or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of local employment laws and labor regulations.
  • Experience in handling performance improvement plans.
  • Ability to conduct and support employee relations investigations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
  • Fluency in Dutch is required

Job Description

As People (HR) Partner you are responsible for delivering professional guidance and expert advice to People Leader Partners, People Leaders and Philips People Services on HR related topics, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and organizational policies. In the role you will focus on delivering consistent and high-quality HR service and you act as a key driver of employee and labor relations strategies, contributing to organizational stability and positive employee experience.

Based on experience and background, first focus of the role will be on case-/illness management within the People (HR) Partner NL team.

Your role:

  • Ensure the country organization operates in line with evolving local labor law requirements, developing and leading nationalization programs, and monitoring adherence.

  • Ensure legally required benefits and health and well-being initiatives are provided.

  • Advise and execute on M&A, divestments, shifts to partners, and reorganizations impacting the local team.

  • Provide professional guidance and support for performance improvement plans (PIP), ensuring adherence to local policies and best practices.

  • Oversee and manage absence and sick leave cases, collaborating with People Leaders to ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirements, engaging with authorities and experts on sick leave-related cases if required.

  • Handle disciplinary and grievance cases with accurate documentation and timely resolution, ensuring fairness and consistency, and conduct/support GBP investigations.

  • Act as a point of escalation for complex employee relations matters, providing resolutions that balance compliance with business and employee needs, supporting labor relations including various Governors and Workers Council’s in the GEO NL.

  • Bring specialized expertise in labor relations, workforce transitions, and compliance with regional laws, providing expert advice on Collective Labor Agreements (CLA), ensuring consistent application of HR policies and practices, and monitoring adherence to local labor laws while escalating potential risks.
     

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor/ Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent.

  • 1-3 years of experience in People Management, Change Management, HR Processes or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of local employment laws, labor regulations to ensure compliance and understanding of collective labor agreements.

  • Experience in handling performance improvement plans (PIPs), disciplinary actions, grievances and illness management.

  • Ability to conduct and support employee relations (General Business Principles) investigations ensuring fairness confidentiality and documentation.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with People Leader Partners, People Leaders and employees.

  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and case management skills.

  • Fluency in Dutch is required
