Position Overview:

We are seeking a Platform Engineer to help build, enhance and maintain scalable
platforms that support our global gaming services and empower our
development teams. The ideal candidate will focus on optimising infrastructure,
ensuring reliability, and facilitating the seamless delivery of high-performance
services.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with development teams to build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure platforms for various gaming products.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of platform services to meet performance, scalability, and high availability requirements.
• Automate infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code practices to streamline provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
•  Continuously monitor and enhance platform performance, stability, and security, proactively addressing potential issues.
• Primarily work to optimise cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness, performance and resilience.
• Implement and support automated deployment workflows.
• Research, assess, and integrate new technologies and tools to boost platform capabilities and developer efficiency.
• Maintain and update documentation related to internal processes and compliance to accurately reflect the current state of platform architecture and operations.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving platform related issues promptly.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience with cloud platforms, particularly GCP, with a working knowledge of AWS.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of networking and security within cloud environments.
• Has a track record of managing highly available, business-critical systems in a microservices architecture, with expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration and service mesh implementations.
• Is skilled in Linux and proficient with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Implements and manages CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions to support automated deployment workflows.
• Embraces Infrastructure as Code principles using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Has hands-on experience with automation tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Is familiar with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.
• Understands load balancing and application delivery using tools likeNGINX.
• Familiarity with MySQL is a plus, though not required.
• Has experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ.
• Is proactive, enthusiastic, and adept at solving complex technical challenges in a dynamic environment.
• Is passionate about automation, monitoring, and building scalable systems.
• Enjoys working in a collaborative, high-energy, and skilled teamenvironment.
• Has 2+ years experience in a similar role.
