We are looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer to lead a team of product engineers in the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven solutions at Blue Yonder. 

The focus of this role is building AI agents that work alongside our customers helping them further optimize their supply chain operations. 

As a key player in the Blue Yonder AI Innovation Studio, you will work on cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of Generative AI and machine learning in the supply chain and retail domains. 

What you will do: 

• Provide technical vision and direction for the engineers in your product team

• Partner closely with product managers & designers on roadmap and requirements

• Lead product engineering around complex, high-impact LLM-powered products

• Make critical architectural and design decisions

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and approaches

• Rapid prototyping of AI agents & gen AI experiences 

• Integrate AI solutions with our existing product platform

• Identify and mitigate technical risks

• Ensure projects are delivered on time with high quality

• Stay on top of gen AI developments and experiment with cutting-edge techniques 

What we are looking for: 

• Self-driven with the desire to take ownership and ability to work across the full stack

• Min 12-15+ years of software development experience, with a strong foundation in software engineering skills, design patterns, and building scalable systems is REQUIRED.

• 2-3+ years of engineering leadership

• Extensive expertise in Python. Optionally TypeScript experience, along with proficiency in front-end technologies like React. 

• Proven track record of shipping products powered by LLMs, RAG systems, and/or AI agents is a plus

• Comfortability working in a startup environment embedded within an enterprise. 

• Passion for pushing the boundaries of AI and a commitment to staying at the cutting edge of industry trends and technologies. 

This role is based out of our Paris office. We're open to remote from other parts of EMEA where we have an office (https://blueyonder.com/about/locations).
