Job Description
As a Mandiant Strategic Security Consultant, you'll lead and support projects assessing, testing, and building client security programs. Projects involve teams of 2-5 colleagues, serving clients ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies. You'll provide guidance on best practices, manage security program risks, and develop roadmaps and recommendations for enhancing cloud security architecture, governance, and standards. Responsibilities include identifying and articulating cloud security best practices (DevSecOps, Zero Trust, incident response), performing security configuration assessments, addressing client concerns, and evaluating client needs to design and communicate solutions. You'll also provide guidance on building and maturing cybersecurity programs and implementing security tools and technologies.
Must have:
- 8+ years cybersecurity experience
- Public sector threat expertise
- Cloud security architecture knowledge
- Client communication & problem-solving skills
- Develop security roadmaps and recommendations
Good to have:
- Experience with DevSecOps and Zero Trust
- Software development lifecycle knowledge
- Security event analysis and incident response experience
- Understanding of various security frameworks and standards

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience assessing and developing cybersecurity solutions and programs across security domains.
- 8 years of experience delivering cyber outcomes, identifying risks, and devising solutions to combat public sector focused threats.
- Ability to travel up to 30% as needed.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience implementing industry-leading practices around cyber risks and cloud security for clients and cloud security frameworks using industry standards.
- Experience with software development life-cycles, including identifying vulnerabilities within code.
- Knowledge of tools used in security event analysis, incident response, computer forensics, network and endpoint architecture, or other security operational areas.
- Understanding of cyber defense operations to include the incident response, containment, and remediation process, cyber threat intelligence, or security architecture.

(British Columbia & Canada-Remote Only*) The British Columbia base salary range for this full-time position is CAD 184,000-216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
- Develop roadmaps and recommendations to drive client enhancements of the cloud security architecture, governance, and standards.
- Identify, incorporate, and articulate cloud security best practices such as DevSecOps strategy, Zero Trust design, and cloud incident response.
- Perform security configuration assessments of a client’s cloud platforms and reviews for common cloud-based SaaS platforms.
- Interface with clients to address concerns, issues, or escalations, track and drive to closure any issues that impact the service and its value to clients. Evaluate client needs, coordinate design for a solution, and clearly communicate the value proposition of complex technical subjects.
- Provide guidance to build or mature cyber security programs and the implementation of tools and technologies used for enterprise security.
