Job Description

An international Investment Bank seeks a Senior Production Support Engineer to support Market Data projects. Responsibilities include pre-release and post-deployment verifications, Rundeck integration for deployment, implementing application control solutions, integrating with monitoring solutions (OpsRamp), server setup and configuration (authentication, service accounts etc.), handling production incidents and problem tickets, troubleshooting market data issues, and recommending infrastructure improvements. The role also involves defining and documenting operational procedures and runbooks and requires understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies. This is a remote position based in Chile.

Must have:

3+ years Support experience
Proficient in Linux
Relational databases & SQL knowledge
Job automation tools (cron, etc.)
Release packaging & deployment
ServiceNow/Jira experience
Good communication skills
Methodical problem-solving

Good to have:

Python scripting

Project description

An international Investment Bank is enhancing its IT systems by introducing new technology and integrating with new third-party providers. The engineer will be providing their support for Market Data projects.

Responsibilities

Implementing pre-release and post-deployment verifications

Integrating with Rundeck for deployment

Implementing application control solutions (start/stop scripts)

Integrating with monitoring solutions (OpsRamp)

Requesting and setting up of new servers

Configuring authentication, Service Accounts, etc.

Following up on production incidents and problem tickets

Troubleshooting market data production issues.

Recommending and implementing infrastructure improvements.

Skills

Must have

3+ years of experience in Support roles

Proficient in Linux environment: command line, standard file editing/searching/manipulation, shell scripting, etc.

Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL: understanding of tables, views, indexes; how to query and modify data; query performance/optimization

Working experience with job automation tools such as cron, Tidal, Autosys, Control-M, etc.

Familiarity with release packaging and deployment: Rundeck, Ansible, etc.

Experience with Service Now, Jira Service Desk or similar tools

Good communication skills, able to: express concerns/risks, document and communicate corrective and preventative action plans to stakeholders, etc.

Methodical approach to problem solving and incident management

Able to define and document operational procedures and runbooks

Understanding of SDLC and Agile.

Nice to have

Knowledge of Python scripting
