Responsibilities of Finance / Operations Manager VC Money Move
General Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statement under local standards including the review of journal entries, accruals, prepaids and deferrals for VC Money Move and other South Cone entities
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations on monthly and quarterly basis for VC Money Move and other South Cone entities
- Assist in the preparation of regional quarterly tax provision packages
- Create, maintain and generate financial reports in support of Accounting and Operation Support teams
- Coordinate monthly intercompany settlement cash requests of South Cone entities
- Assist with tax compliance deliverables and ensure tax compliance obligations are properly and timely reported in South Cone entities
- Participation in Quarterly Internal Audits of VC Money Move and the rest of the Chilean entities. Support external audits in Chile and Argentina
- Responsible of the review and reconciliation of the monthly billing of South Cone region clients, support billing questions/request from South Cone clients
- Support of collection and application of payments from South Cone region clients
- Perform the analysis of VC Money Move and other South Cone entities monthly expenses
- Responsible for overseeing the successful completion of the settlement process for domestic transactions in Chile and the Visa team that provides support for its execution. Supervise the daily compliance with the ordinary settlement schedules of domestic transactions in Chile.
- Responsible for communicating with participants related to their required settlement obligations.
- Responsible for executing action plans and informing the General Manager about the extraordinary settlement process of domestic transactions in Chile.
- Responsible for overseeing communication with the Payment Agent in case of contingencies affecting the operation of the Visa Clearinghouse.
- Responsible for reporting settlement incidents to the General Manager, Compliance Officer, and Risk Officer of the Visa Clearinghouse.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Monitor the monthly shareholder’s equity balances of VC Money Move
- Monitor the evolution of payments from South Cone region clients
- Review and submit financial statements as requested by regulators on a timely basis to ensure compliance
- Contact to clients to complete the onboarding of VC Money Move
- Sign contracts whenever required
- Request and verify the client's account opening with the Payment Agent whenever required
- Inform clients of the financial safeguards they must have daily
- Monitor daily that the ordinary settlement process is carried out correctly
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Professional:
• Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
• CPA equivalent and/or MBA/Graduate studies
• Minimum 5 years relevant accounting/finance experience in a multi-national publicly traded
company
• Strong understanding of accounting controls and tax issues as applicable to local standards as well
as under US GAAP.
• Experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm is preferred.
