This role focuses on ensuring the compliance of Google's Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS) suppliers, aiming to simplify and deliver solutions at scale while driving efficiency and strategic priorities. The Program Manager, Risk and Compliance will develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive third-party risk management program that ensures xWS suppliers comply with relevant regulations, policies, and contractual obligations. This role is crucial in mitigating risks associated with the Extended Workforce and protecting the organization's reputation and financial interests. Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining a robust supplier compliance program, developing and executing a monitoring plan, conducting audits and assessments, identifying and addressing compliance gaps, and presenting regular reports to management on supplier compliance status and key risks. The ideal candidate will have experience in global supplier compliance, vendor management, supplier consulting, or third-party risk management, as well as knowledge of the technology industry risk, particularly in cyber security.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in global supplier compliance, vendor management, supplier consulting, or third party risk management
  • Experience with consultants or contingent workforce
  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive third-party risk management program
  • Ensure xWS suppliers comply with relevant regulations, policies, and contractual obligations
Good to have:
  • Certification in auditing, supplier management, internal audit, or third party risk management
  • Experience in executive stakeholder management
  • Experience in consulting and change management
  • Knowledge of technology industry risk, (e.g. cyber security)

Minimum qualifications:

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in auditing, supplier management, internal audit, or third party risk management. (for e.g. CIA, IIA, CA, CFE, CMA, CPA, CISA, CTPRP, C3PRMP, TPRA, etc.).
  • Experience in executive stakeholder management.
  • Experience in consulting and change management.
  • Knowledge of technology industry risk, (e.g. cyber security).

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a robust supplier compliance program, including policies, procedures, and guidelines for monitoring suppliers.
  • Develop and execute a monitoring plan to track supplier compliance. Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify adherence to contractual/policy obligations and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and address compliance gaps and develop corrective action plans with suppliers. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the supplier compliance program.
  • Present regular reports to management on supplier compliance status, key risks, and remediation efforts. Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding compliance requirements and expectations.
  • Collaborate and provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders and suppliers on compliance-related matters. Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on supplier compliance risks and best practices.
