A QA Lead reports to a QA Manager. Works closely with QA Subject Matter Experts, other QA members, project managers, designers and developers to ensure QA standards and client satisfaction are delivered thought-out the account. A QA Lead is someone that brings support to the QA Manager on many tasks, provides leadership and career development to the team members.


You will:

  • Responsible of the supervision of the QA team members directly assigned to him/her, and accountable of following up their performance, and projects.
  • Responsible to promote effective communication, a sense of participation and involvement amongst QA members.
  • Responsible to plan, conduct, technically direct and maintain the required level of quality expected by the account/client.
  • Responsible of overseeing QA member’s tasks of his/her assigned projects and escalate when needed.
  • Responsible to attend, lead and/or organize meetings on behalf of team
  • Responsible to promote QA values and principles not only for the QA team but for everyone in the company and our clients.
  • Responsible to promote a team-oriented and collaborative environment among all the team members
  • Responsible of promoting a positive environment and motivate the team.
  • Responsible to communicate test results, and escalate issues and risks by following a correct escalation path.
  • Overseeing test data identification
  • Creating, co-creating and provide oversight on test plans and managing different testing suites
  • Writing and maintaining test cases/scripts
  • Responsible of creating QA estimations
  • Create and oversee traceability matrix documents based upon project requirements
  • Create and oversee checklist documentation based upon project requirements
  • Provide support on functional and non-funtional testing when necessary
  • Develop test design documents to cover requirements
  • Plan and schedule test activities to ensure functional, system, and technical specifications
  • Apply industry standard testing methodology, strategies and industry best practices
  • Create and oversee defect tickets and track issues to resolution and risk analysis of said issues
  • Report creation and related metrics at different levels
  • Overseeing, delegating and coordinating work to other QA Associates and apprentices, as needed.
  • Mentoring staff members and act as a career developer
  • Responsible of assiting the Talent department in the selection/interviewing of new QA team members.
  • Creating, overseeing and executing regression tests based on design specifications and requirements
  • Conducting research into new technologies, including tools, components, and frameworks related to QA
  • Responsible to identify areas of improvement, including automation tools and proactively identify potential areas of risks within the project

You have:

  • Ideally English Proficiency (B2+ - C1 reading, writing, and conversation)
  • 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • At least 2 years as a leader.
  • Extensive experience in leading QA and cross-funtional teams and technical projects
  • Experience working with Quality Assurance Automation Frameworks & Tools; specifically Playwright, BrowserStack and, Jenkins.
  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies for software development.
  • Experience working with local and offshore teams
  • Experience in task management and defect tracking tools like Jira and/or similar
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows or MacOS software is expected.
  • ISTQB Certification or other QA related certifications are a plus
  • Mastery of office productivity tools such as Excel, Word, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe illustrador are a plus.
  • Desirable knowledge of collaboration and issue tracking tools such as Box, Jira, Confluence.
