One Of Us is a visual effects studio founded in London in 2004 by co-directors Rachael Penfold, Dominic Parker and Tom Debenham.

This is an entry-level opportunity for those looking to start a career in the VFX industry. While the role is based in our Editorial department, you do not need to be specifically pursuing a career in Editorial. The position offers exposure to multiple aspects of VFX production where you will be responsible for facilitating all activities within the screening room, supporting both internal teams and high-profile clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for film, technical know-how, and a keen interest in VFX post-production. Responsibilities
Screening Room Coordination: Manage and operate the screening room during client and internal review sessions.
Client Interaction: Act as a first point of contact for clients in the screening room, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
Technical Support: Set up and operate the necessary equipment for screenings, including playback systems, projection, and audio setups.
Editing Support: Assist with editorial tasks, including the use of industry-standard editing software to prepare materials for review.
Content Preparation: Ensure all necessary content (cuts, VFX plates, dailies) is ready for client reviews and internal sessions.
Technical Troubleshooting: Address any technical issues that arise during screenings, ensuring minimal disruption.
Cross-Department Support: Collaborate with the Editorial, Production, and Technical teams to ensure smooth workflows.
Wider office team collaboration: Working closely with the studio runners and office manager to share feedback and improvements from a client experience perspective.
Skills and Attributes
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with playback systems, projection setups, and technical troubleshooting.
Editing Software Skills: Basic proficiency in editing software (e.g., Premiere, or Nuke) with a willingness to learn and develop.
Client hospitality: Confidence in providing outstanding hospitality to all visiting clients, creating a warm welcome and professional service.
Communication Skills: Ability to liaise clearly and concisely with multiple teams, including Production, Artists, and Supervisors.
Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to preparing and reviewing media for screening.
Problem-Solving: Ability to remain calm and resolve issues quickly in high-pressure situations.
Adaptable to change with the ability to stay focused and maintain a positive attitude.
Proactively driven to make things better with flexibility to change course when needed.
Positive energy, focusing on results and having a positive impact on those around you.

Experience
Essential Requirements:
A relevant degree (e.g., film, media production, animation, or similar) or equivalent experience.
A passion for VFX, post-production, and the creative industries.
Availability to work on-site in London.
Previous experience in a client facing or hospitality sector role
Desirable Skills:
Experience with industry-standard software (Avid, Nuke, Premiere Pro, etc.)

Hours and location
Our core hours are 9.30am to 6.30pm or 10am to 7pm Monday to Friday.
We have a great office in Old Street where you would be based. This is an office based role where initially you would be required to work from the studio up to 5 days of the week depending on the volume of client reviews. We would offer flexibility on your hours in the studio with some home working possible.
