The role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to interact with C-suite executives, driving business solutions and revenue capture opportunities.

Job Details

This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the continental U.S.

The Senior Client Engagement Lead manages engagements from inception to completion, identifying and documenting requirements, supporting clients on various information security initiatives, keeping all stakeholders apprised of program budget status, and managing issues to resolution.  Senior Client Engagement Leads are responsible for the program over the entire engagement life cycle (initiation, planning, execution, control, closeout).  They are also responsible for onboarding the program team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing the schedule to ensure timely completion of deliverables.  Senior Client Engagement Leads are expected to build trust and relationships with customers through the delivery of successful outcomes in alignment with Optiv’s commercial commitments. The Senior Client Engagement Lead oversees all program activity with key clients across the Advance Fusion Center (AFC).  The Senior Client Engagement Lead may lead other AFC resources including but not limited to Client Engagement Specialists, Project Managers and Client Engagement Leads in cross-practice programs and engagements of higher complexity and are integral in building relationships with their client counterparts or key points of contact.  They also contribute to business development by identifying new opportunities with existing clients and supporting potential new client pursuits to drive business growth.

How you'll make an impact

  • Oversees the health, delivery, and performance of multiple customized client programs.

  • Contributes directly to presales proposals, SOW development and provides advanced communication and coordination with prospective clients through post sales engagement activities. 

  • Responsible for client reference coordination program for prospective clients to support demand activities. 

  • Provide full client lifecycle management while building program maturity.

  • Drive overall engagement progress and activities across multiple capabilities, practices, communities, and stakeholders. 

  • Act as primary program management resource on 2-4 client engagements cultivating client trust.  

  • Engages directly with client personnel, processes, operational tools, and culture assimilation. 

  • Requires leadership acumen, diplomacy, and executive presence awareness to communicate with poise and efficacy to client C-suite executives. 

  • Long term delivery management commitments to client portfolio requires high emotional intelligence, exposure, and awareness to drive business solutions and demand opportunities.  

  • Confidently communicate the AFC services pitch, understand, and speak to the AFC portfolio offerings in alignment with customer goals and objectives. 

  • Provide and lead customer-focused strategic planning and collaboration meetings. 

  • Requires perceptiveness of client needs as an embedded extension of the demand and sales team to facilitate revenue capture opportunities. 

  • Requires close and continuing vendor relationship management and program oversight for productivity.  

  • Requires strategic and tactical planning, including implementation plans for multiple correlated technologies and managed services delivery, detailed schedules, compensating controls, cost forecasting, risk management and reporting. 

  • Responsible for monitoring budget performance, resource burn-rate analysis, forecasting/reporting, and smooth interface with operations managers for daily task management.

  • Accountable for the progress of the overall engagement and all related projects that may comprise the program or solutions. 

  • Accountable for driving performance timelines by creating, maintaining, and communicating customized schedules (including key deliverables, milestones, and dependencies) 

  • Capacity management, understanding the deliverables and the progress toward each milestone, identifying, and managing issues, risks, and other potential delays ahead of time, and identifying and driving resolution of all engagement related risks and issues. 

  • Demonstrate expert-level of knowledge of Program Management best practices, process and supporting systems to drive progress for each client solutions portfolio. 

  • Stakeholder management to ensure alignment between client expected value, Account team partners and Operations delivery teams

  • Manage customer relationships and assist in leading the customer to reach their overall business goals. 

  • Facilitate mutual understanding meetings between the programdelivery team and client stakeholders to define the portfolio delivery strategy, solutions orchestration, SOW driven quality metrics, risk management plan and communications plan. 

  • Conduct and coordinate internal and external program meetings and provide status reports to client stakeholders. 

  • Communicate client concerns, questions and conflicts to internal stakeholders and take the necessary actions to resolve and/or troubleshoot challenges in a decisive and constructive manner. 

  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and program management techniques 

  • Lead multiple multi-year engagements. 

What we're looking for

  • BA or BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related field. Advanced degree is preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in a customer facing project/program delivery leadership role within a professional services organization, with emphasis on information security projects and programs

  • Capability to challenge status quo and advocate for client success

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

  • CISM or CISSP certification preferred

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification preferred

  • Program Management expertise specifically demonstrated success managing cross-capability engagements across multiple clients and initiatives on a long term-basis

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills required

  • Strong consultative skills to build trust and up-sell opportunities

  • Expert level experience with Program Management methodologies, best practices, and toolsets require

  • Experience interfacing with both clients and partners required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. High degree of executive presence and comfort interaction with C-Level clients

  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills required

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision required

  • Significant experience as a consultant providing security expertise to clients preferred. 

  • Current knowledge of security threats, solutions, security tools and network technologies strongly desired
