About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Community Manager to join our team and lead the growth of our player community across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will be proficient in English, with experience promoting indie games on Steam and building engaged communities. They will be responsible for social media management, content creation, and community engagement, driving awareness and interaction across platforms such as Discord, Reddit, Steam, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

The Senior Community Manager will collaborate closely with the production and marketing teams to ensure the community is informed about game updates and news, while also shaping the tone and voice of the brand across all channels.

 

The Quest: 

  • Manage social communities and messaging across all key channels, including Discord, Reddit, Steam, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure the community is informed about game updates, changes, and news.
  • Develop and execute engagement and content plans to interact with the community, share updates, and distribute relevant content.
  • Plan, develop, and evaluate marketing campaigns that increase player engagement and visibility.
  • Monitor community sentiment and use social listening tools to inform content creation and adjust strategies based on player feedback.
  • Shape and maintain the tone and voice of the brand, ensuring consistent communication across all media channels.
  • Assist in building and managing dedicated forums and communities for specific projects, facilitating conversations and engagement.
  • Develop relationships with players by engaging through all social and community channels, creating meaningful interactions.
  • Identify trends and hot topics, working closely with the production and marketing teams to integrate them into the content strategy and community discussions.

 

The Skills: 

  • 5+ years of experience in community management or social media roles, ideally within the indie game space or broader video game industry.
  • Proven experience managing communities on platforms like Steam, Discord, and Reddit.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms, including Reddit, Discord, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create high-quality documentation and messaging.
  • Deep knowledge of gaming communities, especially within the indie space.
  • Proficiency with content creation tools, including basic design and video editing.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and presentation skills (comfortable with community and sentiment analysis reports).
  • Familiarity with user moderation tools
