Job Description

The Senior Coordinator of People and Culture at Design Works Gaming will be responsible for employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering an engaging company culture. This role involves coaching managers on employee issues, addressing employee concerns, assisting with recognition programs, organizing team-building activities, and collaborating on the recruitment process. The position also includes implementing new employee benefits and working with brokers on benefits offerings. The candidate will contribute to enriching employee experiences and creating new ideas to improve the company culture. Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience
  • Knowledge of HR practices and labor laws
Good to have:
  • Paylocity experience
  • Recruiting for technical or engineering positions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full Time

What we are looking for…

Design Works Gaming is looking for an experienced and determined Senior Coordinator of People and Culture to join our Human Resources Team in Scottsdale! At DWG, our Senior Coordinator of People and Culture will be responsible for employee relations, compliance with labor laws and continuing to grow an engaging, exciting and invigorating company culture. This role requires strong attention to detail and a passion to succeed.

Your Role and Impact:

  • Parter with the HR Manager to coach managers on such employee issues as performance counseling, coaching and disciplinary actions
  • Work with employees to hear out their concerns and receive feedback from them
  • Assist with employee recognition programs in place and collaborate with the HR Team on new programs to implement
  • Organize team building activities and company events 
  • Collaborate with the HR Team on the recruitment process including posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting interviews and hiring employees. 
  • Implement new team members’ benefits and work closely with brokers on medical, dental, vision and 401K offerings 
  • Partner with the HR Team on various projects to enrich employee benefits and experiences at Design Works Gaming
  • Provide timely assistance to team members
  • Create new ideas to implement and improve company culture 
  • Establish new internal committees and functions for the staff
  • Additional duties as assigned 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in Human Resources, Business Management or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience. 
  • Working knowledge of human resources practices and labor laws in the areas of employee relations, benefits, leave of absences, compensation, compliance, etc.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paylocity experience preferred 
  • Recruiting for technical or engineering positions preferred
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet short deadlines
