Job Description:

As a Senior Missions Designer, you will help bring to life memorable and highly engaging playable moments that leverage your skills in telling interesting stories.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other designers, artists, code, audio, VFX, and animation departments to create iconic missions that combine memorable stories with compelling gameplay.
  • Develop structures that allow the players to experience a world-class narrative and write their own stories through play.
  • Create engaging missions and activities in-engine to a AAA standard that integrate player fantasy, narrative, and gameplay.
  • Find unique and fun ways for players to experience the world.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience creating missions/quests and the frameworks that missions are built from. Or combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with technical design, scripting, or programming.
  • Proven experience, having shipped at least one AAA title.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in feature development.
  • Experience across a variety of platforms, particularly PC and console.
  • Experience using traditional AAA game development tools.
  • A team-oriented approach to your work, understanding the importance of collaboration, and partnering with all departments.

  • A background in combat design, content design, level design, or tools development.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80,800.00 - $149,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
