Job Description

As a Senior NetSuite Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying and introducing process enhancements and optimizations within the NetSuite OneWorld ERP system, adapting them to the specific business needs. You will also troubleshoot and resolve user issues, promoting best practices. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly in finance, and the ability to analyze data, focusing on detail. The candidate should have a proven track record of project delivery, from initial scoping to deployment, and be comfortable communicating with stakeholders across all business areas, interpreting their needs into system-based solutions. Additionally, you will need to liaise with third-party consultants and manage requirements through NetSuite Advanced Customer Support (ACS).
Must have:
  • Lead NetSuite configuration and customization to align with business requirements.
  • Implement best practices to optimize system performance and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain saved searches, analytics, and reporting effectively.
  • Understand client business processes for key financial processes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) within NetSuite.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with Netsuite SuiteBilling or any other subscription-based Billing system.
  • Experience reporting and analysing data using reporting tools.
  • Understanding of accounting concepts and integrations with CRM/NetSuite.

As a Senior NetSuite Functional Consultant, this is what you’ll be doing:

As Senior NetSuite Functional Consultant of the NetSuite OneWorld ERP system, you will help identify and introduce process enhancements and optimizations, adapting them to the unique business requirements at QS. In addition, Troubleshoot and resolve user issues in a timely and efficient manner driving a culture of best practice throughout.  

You should be enthusiastic about customer service with a passion for improving the employee experience across the organization. 

The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of accounting principles, attained from working closely with finance stakeholders to gain a full understanding of their needs. You will have a particular eye for detail and be comfortable in interrogating and analysing large amounts of data 

The candidate will have a proven track record of project delivery. From initial scoping, through design, implementation, testing, and deployment, they will be comfortable communicating with stakeholders from all areas of the business, with an ability to interpret their needs into the most appropriate system-based solutions.  

Where necessary, they will be required to liaise with third-party consultants and developers to communicate our needs, along with managing a pipeline of requirements through our relationship with NetSuite Advanced Customer Support (ACS).  

 

Role responsibilities

 

  • Lead the configuration and customization of NetSuite to align with business requirements. 
  • Implement best practices for optimizing system performance and efficiency 
  • A high level of competence building and maintaining saved searches, analytics and reporting. 
  • Understand client business processes for Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Revenue Recognition, Billing, Record to Report, Fixed Assets and other financial processes as needed. 
  • Advanced Revenue Management (ARM): Demonstrate proficiency in Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) within NetSuite to ensure accurate and efficient revenue recognition processes. 
  • Suite Billing (Preferred): Possess or develop expertise in Suite Billing within NetSuite, contributing to the successful implementation of this functionality  
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into NetSuite requirements 
  • Utilize the Release Preview environment to test forthcoming releases and manage our two Sandbox accounts. 
  • Manage and build workflows to enhance business processes. Drive longer-term enhancement projects by analysing requirements, developing and maintaining reporting needs and collaborating across multiple departments such as Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Sales to develop effective solutions that result in process optimization and efficiency gains 
  • Maintain error-free configuration changes to fields, workflows, roles/permissions, page layouts, custom objects, custom record types, reports and dashboards to meet evolving user, department, and organizational needs 
  • Ensure system compliance with company policies, procedures and protocols for system standards, customizations and changes 

 

Key skills and experience 

 

  • Prior experience with NetSuite OneWorld. 
  • Proficiency in Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) within NetSuite 
  • Familiarity with Netsuite SuiteBilling or any other subscription-based Billing system within NetSuite
  • Experience reporting and analysing data using reporting tools such as Tableau, Workday Adaptive planning 
  • Understanding of accounting concepts and integrations between HubSpot/Salesforce CRM and NetSuite applications is a plus 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize several tasks concurrently 
  • Effective communication, documentation and training skills 
  • NetSuite Foundations or NetSuite ERP certification is a preferred 
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
