The Product Owner - Trading will lead the development and execution of the company's in-house sportsbook pricing automation. This involves implementing pricing models, automation tools, and market analysis. The role requires a data-driven approach and a deep understanding of sports betting. Responsibilities include developing product roadmaps, conducting market research, utilizing industry knowledge, implementing pricing models, working with various teams, and monitoring KPIs. The candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering the product roadmap for the sportsbook pricing engine, including pricing models and automated price adjustment systems.
Must have:
  • Proven experience in building and scaling successful products.
  • Deep understanding of sports betting markets and data.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Good to have:
  • Prior experience with running A/B tests.
  • Proficiency with data in Product Management.
  • Experience with dashboards and data visualization tools.
  • Experience using product management software.

Job Details

We are looking for a highly skilled and data-driven Product Owner – Trading to lead the development and execution of our in-house sportsbook pricing automation. This role is ideal for a data-driven person with a deep passion for sports betting.
In this role, you will be the driving force behind implementing our pricing models, automation tools, and market analysis together with our development teams, ensuring we maintain a competitive edge in the dynamic world of sports betting.
This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on a core product offering within a leading iGaming company. If you have a passion for sports, a deep understanding of data-driven pricing strategies, and a proven track record of building successful products, this role is for you.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
  • Developing and delivering the product roadmap for our in-house sportsbook pricing engine, including pricing models and automated price adjustment systems.
  • Conducting in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and optimize pricing strategies across various sports and betting markets.
  • Utilize deep industry knowledge—whether from professional experience or personal passion—to inform product enhancements.
  • Implementing sophisticated pricing models utilizing statistical analysis, machine learning, and other quantitative techniques to ensure accurate and competitive odds.
  • Working cross-functionally with engineering, data science, and operations teams to build, implement, and maintain our pricing infrastructure.
  • Developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of pricing initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and report on product performance.
  • Deliver high-impact presentations, collaborate with stakeholders, and influence decision-making with data-backed insights.

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
Essential skills:

  • Proven experience of building and scaling successful products, ideally in the sports betting or other related industries.
  • Deep understanding of sports betting markets, odds compilation, and sports betting data.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in statistical modeling, data analysis, and building pricing or financial models.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

Nice to have skills:
  • Prior experience with running A/B tests / experimentation.
  • Proficiency with data and how it can be applied to Product Management.
  • Experience building and using dashboards and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
  • Experience using product management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Productboard) for roadmapping, sprint planning, and tracking progress.
