Summary

This Senior OpenEdge Engineer role in Wrocław, Poland involves working on a regulatory reporting project for an investment banking client. The team develops and supports approximately 25 systems using Progress OpenEdge. The position focuses on technology stack upgrades to OpenEdge v12 & PASOE, new application development, and infrastructure changes. Responsibilities include back-end and front-end development of in-house applications and infrastructure-related tasks (DBA). The team uses in-house and Progress Dynamics frameworks. Strong OpenEdge experience, DBA/infrastructure skills, and DevOps knowledge are essential. Scrum experience is also required.

Project description

Project is related to regulatory reporting for one of Clients from Investment Banking area using OpenEdge (Progress 4GL) technology. There is an exclusive team developing & supporting approx. 25 systems in Securities area using Process OpenEdge solution. Current OpenEdge team is located in Wrocław. We are extending team in Wroclaw for support with the technology stack upgrade (and moving towards strategic platform) to OpenEdge v12 & PASOE, as well as further business applications development and support.

Responsibilities

We aim to hire the best people and give them maximum autonomy for realizing their potential and growing technically/professionally. Competence, collaboration and continuous improvement are highly supported on program level, to create a culture where each individual can grow in their desired direction.

We are looking for experienced developer experienced in OpenEdge with solid DBA / infrastructure skillset. Planned work would be related to two areas: I) back-end and front-end of in-house build application, II) infrastructure related changes (upgrade) and DBA. We are using two different frameworks: A) in-house built, B) Progress Dynamics

Skills

Must have

Experience in Process OpenEdge solution, preferably version 11/12.

Unix.

Bash & PowerShell scripting.

DevOps (Git/GitLab/Ansible).

Scrum experience, good understanding, active participation expected.

English used for all the communication.

Nice to have

DBA / System Administrator.

IT Networking.

Azure.
