Key Responsibilities:
•Certification Management:
Lead the certification process for battery products (cells, modules, packs), ensuring compliance with UL1973, UN38.3, and other relevant UL, IEC, and IEEE standards.
Interface with certification bodies and testing laboratories to manage, coordinate, witness and perform certification activities.
Prepare and submit technical documentation required for certification applications.
Provide technical engineering guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
Lead the design and development of test plans, protocols, and procedures for battery module design, and certification.
Review and validate test results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve and maintain certification for new and existing products.
Conduct risk assessments and failure mode analysis to identify potential safety issues.
Ensure all battery designs adhere to safety regulations and industry best practices.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in battery certification standards and regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance product safety and certification efficiency.
Collaborate with R&D and Product Development teams to integrate certification requirements early in the design process.
Qualifications:
•Education:
Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
•Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years focused on battery technologies and certifications.
Proven track record of managing certification processes for UL1973, UN38.3, and other relevant UL and IEC standards.
Hands-on experience with battery testing, failure analysis, and safety evaluations.

In-depth knowledge of battery chemistries, designs, and safety mechanisms.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and applications in battery systems.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Certification or advanced training in battery technologies and safety standards.
•Experience working with global certification bodies and regulatory agencies.
•Familiarity with other relevant standards such as IEC, ISO, and IEEE.
