As a Senior Program Manager, Supply Expansion Planning at Google, you'll play a critical role in ELS's CAPS team. You will drive informed decision-making, especially in uncertain situations, and contribute significantly to developing and implementing the supply expansion plan. This aligns with Google's business strategy and objectives. Responsibilities include partnering with portfolio planning and location strategy leaders, translating complex analyses into investment justifications, securing stakeholder buy-in, and influencing resource allocation. You'll assist cross-functional initiatives, evaluate supply expansion opportunities, and drive program performance gains. You'll also synthesize insights into a cohesive strategic plan, defining requirements and articulating business rationale for new powered asset supply.

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in program or project management.
- Experience with any of the following: site selection for high-technology, industrial-scale projects, real estate evaluation, acquisition, development, and construction.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Graduate Degree in Real Estate, Business Management, or Finance.
- CPA or other relevant professional certification.
- 10 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience managing large-scale, dynamic technical projects with fast-paced timelines, competing resources and priorities.
- Ability to develop, articulate, and gain buy-in for long-term strategic growth plans, effectively communicating context to stakeholders to directly shape team focus and resource prioritization.
- Ability to work cross-functionally while coming up with commercially and technically creative solutions.

Within ELS, the Cloud and Asset Portfolio Solutions (CAPS) team focuses on strategic planning and portfolio management. We help to determine where, why, and how much infrastructure Google needs to scale seamlessly into the future. CAPS manages this complex portfolio and provides the strategies, programs, and tools that enable our regional negotiation and execution teams to consistently make high-quality, large-scale decisions faster and with less risk, directly supporting Google's business needs.
In this role, you will play a critical role within CAPS, enabling ELS to effectively plan and manage its infrastructure project portfolio. You will drive informed decision-making, particularly when facing uncertainty, and be a key contributor to developing and implementing the essential supply expansion plan, ensuring its alignment with Google's overall business strategy and objectives.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$311,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Partner strategically with portfolio planning analytics and long-term location strategy leaders to translate complex analyses into compelling justifications for critical investments in long-lead infrastructure and third-party data center capacity, securing stakeholder buy-in and influencing resource allocation.
- Assist cross-functional initiatives with ELS project teams to proactively identify, rigorously evaluate, and quantify the strategic impact and value of potential supply expansion opportunities, ensuring alignment with and integration into the overall Supply Expansion Investment Plan.
- Drive measurable program performance gains correlated to execution velocity.
- Own the synthesis of complex insights from analytics and strategy teams, translating them into a cohesive, actionable, data-driven strategic plan that defines the critical requirements (what, where, when) and articulates the compelling business rationale (why) for new powered asset supply.
