Job Description

The Senior Salesforce Engineer will develop integrations with Salesforce and third-party services. They will build and maintain RESTful endpoints in the public API, configure and customize Salesforce environments, collaborate with cross-functional partners, review code, mentor junior engineers, and optimize code for performance. The engineer will also assist in technical planning and documentation to support long-term engineering goals.
Must have:
  • 5-7 years of experience in developing web applications.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Salesforce development.
  • Proficiency in Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience with Git or another version control system.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and AWS.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or Kubernetes is a bonus.

What we’re looking for

A core strategy for SurveyMonkey is to provide thoughtful value to our customers through tight integrations with the enterprise ecosystem for relevant use cases across our product offerings.

The Partners, Integrations, and Enablement Team builds foundational RESTful API infrastructure and provides a unified approach to integrations and developer enablement across our market.

We are looking for a talented Senior Salesforce Engineer with hands-on experience in Salesforce development, who can contribute to building APIs and integrations while also demonstrating leadership by guiding and mentoring peers, promoting best practices, and solving challenging technical problems.

What you’ll be working on

  • Developing integrations with Salesforce and other third-party services.
  • Building and maintaining RESTful endpoints in our public API to serve business needs.
  • Configuring and customizing Salesforce environments, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Reviewing code, providing mentorship, and fostering continuous improvement in the team.
  • Optimizing code for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Assisting in technical planning and documentation to support long-term engineering goals.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 5–7 years of experience in developing highly scalable web applications and services.
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development.
  • Proficiency in Python (preferred) or JavaScript, and familiarity with external service APIs.
  • Demonstrated ability in writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Experience configuring and customizing Salesforce workflows, integrations, and reports.
  • Experience with Git or another version control system.
  • Interest in mentoring junior engineers and reviewing code to ensure best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in Agile development environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with remote and co-located teams.
  • Familiarity with React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and AWS.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or Kubernetes is a bonus.

As such, this opportunity is hybrid and requires you to work from the SurveyMonkey office in Bengaluru 3 days per week.
