Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Security at Google, you'll manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions. You'll write and test code, participate in design reviews, review code from other developers, contribute to documentation, and triage and resolve product or system issues. The role requires expertise in software development, testing, and cloud security, with experience in data structures, algorithms, and various programming languages. Must have:

5+ years software development experience
1+ year software design & architecture
Experience with testing and launching software
Proficiency in data structures/algorithms
Cloud security expertise

Good to have:

Master's/PhD in CS or related field
Technical leadership experience
Experience with accessible technologies

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
Experience in developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

Write and test product or system development code.
Participate and lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select among available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product or program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug, track or resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network or service operations and quality.
