Microsoft Advertising Platform team is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead and develop highly scalable services for their next-generation e-commerce marketing solutions. This role requires strong technical leadership, driving collaboration across teams, and building high-performing engineering teams. Responsibilities include long-term architecture and development, ensuring quality, performance, and maintainability, and delivering high-quality solutions from concept to release. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, people management, and working with large-scale distributed systems. Experience with online advertising and cloud platforms (Azure preferred) is a plus. This role involves working with hundreds of terabytes of data and focuses on customer satisfaction and data-driven metrics.

Our platform helps advertisers and retailers implement, automate, and scale their marketing programs across the internet. We work on hundreds of terabytes of data using the latest Microsoft cloud infrastructure, have a very strong focus on customer satisfaction, and leverage data driven metrics to delight our customers. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years’ experience developing and shipping software products and/or services with expertise in full stack development.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience as a hands-on manager with proficiency in various engineering tools, software, and methodologies, and be able to apply them to solve real-world problems.
  • Experience with technical design, problem solving and debugging skills, proven track record in shipping software on time, with high quality.

Other Requirements:

Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience is development of installed applications (desktop/mobile).
  • C#, .NET knowledge proficiency.
  • Experience in online advertising.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS or similar cloud computing platforms.
