We are looking for you to support our Automotive Center at Bengaluru as a Senior Staff Test Engineer.
As a Senior Staff Test Engineer, you are responsible for the software and system level validation of our in-house developed automotive software for embedded ARM processors in our Ethernet ASICs. This includes testing Firmware, Software Development Kits, Host Drivers, and supporting Tools.
The position requires the definition of test strategies, implementation of test cases, test procedures, and compilation of test plans/reports.
The Primary Job Involves
- Responsible for firmware and tools testing within the scope of “Software Qualification Test”, “System Integration and Integration Test” and “System Qualification tests” as per ASPICE process definition
- Test planning, strategy and independently lead the assigned test topics
- Document any deviation from the specification in a bug tracking system
- Reproduction of customer issues and responsible for verifying the fixes
- Design and implement specific test applications on need basis
- Responsible for testing the virtual development kits (VDKs)
- Plan and implement the test automation solutions as per the needs. From time to time, bring manual tests to an automated test environment
- Responsible for setting up test environments (test benches and setups in the lab), as requested
All the testing activities must comply to the ASPICE process. You will help us in improving the test process and help achieve quality goals. Additionally, you will be contributing to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the tests and test environment.
What We're Looking For
- The candidate should have an electrical engineering or similar related bachelor’s OR master’s degree with 8 to 12 years’ experience.
- ISTQB certification or similar qualification
- Knowledge of Standards like Automotive SPICE and ISO26262 would be an advantage.
Key Technical Skills
- Excellent knowledge of test methodology especially in projects involving hardware-software combinations
- Good knowledge in C, Python or similar programming languages
- Good knowledge in implementing the test automation frameworks especially using Python, Robot Framework
- Good knowledge on testing Ethernet layer 2 protocol especially TSN/PTP/1588 protocols
- Good knowledge in analyzing the ethernet layer 2 packets using wireshark, spirent testcentre or similar tools
- Good understanding on MAC Security (MACsec), AUTOSAR standards
- Good knowledge of a test management system including test planning and test strategy
- Good communication skills in English, written and spoken
- The candidate is flexible, proactive and can work in a team
