MADFINGER is seeking a Senior Weapon Artist to contribute to their tactical FPS game. Responsibilities include creating realistic, high-quality weapon models with textures and materials, optimizing models for game engine integration, collaborating with other artists and technical staff, improving workflows and pipelines, and staying current with industry techniques. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in AAA game development, proficiency in 3ds Max, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine, a strong understanding of asset creation and optimization, and excellent collaboration skills. The position requires relocation to Brno, Czech Republic, with relocation support provided.

Are you a talented 3D artist with a passion for creating stunning weapons and props? We are looking for a Senior Weapon Artist to join our team and help us with upcoming updates, improving variety, and keeping best-in-class quality. If you're experienced, creative, and love pushing the limits of game art, we'd love to hear from you!


What is your MISSION?


  • Creating realistic, high-quality weapon models with textures and materials.
  • Delivering clean, optimized models with efficient UV layouts that meet the project's technical standards.
  • Collaborating with Art Leads, Animators, and Tech Artists to deliver distinctive weapons that drive world-class player experiences.
  • Integrating assets into the game engine, ensuring both visual quality and performance.
  • Optimizing assets to meet technical requirements without sacrificing quality.
  • Collaborating with the team to improve workflows and pipelines, ensuring we always work efficiently and smartly.
  • Staying on top of the latest techniques and tools and sharing your knowledge to help the team grow and improve.


Who will FIT in with us?

  • A genuine enthusiast for weapons and their design—we want someone as excited about the details as we are.
  • 5+ years of experience in 3D game art production, including contributing to at least one completed AAA game.
  • Proficiency with 3ds Max, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine.
  • Proven experience in 3D game art production, with a strong understanding of asset creation and optimization.
  • An eye for detail regarding textures, lighting, and materials that enhance the overall look of a game.
  • Ability to deliver optimized, high-quality 3D models that meet technical standards while pushing creative boundaries.
  • Strong collaboration skills—you'll be working closely with various departments to ensure the game looks and feels amazing.
  • Organized and proactive in following production plans and meeting deadlines.
  • It is mandatory to be based in Brno, so you must be willing to move. We can, of course, provide you with relocation support.
