Site Reliability Engineer

With your expertise in Azure Active Directory, Identity & Access Management, engineering functions, Azure Management, Windows Server OS, enterprise infrastructure, and overall service health, you will lead our identity-centric digital transformation and support hundreds of thousands of employees in empowering every person on the planet to accomplish more. As virtualization needs in the new hybrid workplace increases exponentially, our team strives to balance productivity and security in our internal services. Microsoft seeks a dedicated Site Reliability Engineer to join our team, ensuring that virtualization services are released with the right security mindset, providing access to the right resources at the right time, protected at every step.

• A minimum of  6 months experience working as devops.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Good understanding of Azure cloud engineering, Azure network, Azure compute, Azure Storage services and Azure DevOps CI/CD.
• Strong skills in PowerShell scripting, Azure PowerShell. Hands on experience with building data queries, analytics with database technologies such as SQL server or Kusto (KQL).
• Ability to develop tools, automation scripts, and enhancements for services/products to manage software in production.
• Familiarity with identity and security, particularly with Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, Azure Virtual desktop (AVD)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross team cooperation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Provide technical engineering for a cross-functional, high-visibility operations team supporting the Virtualization platform for Microsoft’s corporate/partner’s network.
• Identify and drive the implementation of automation opportunities to improve service health, manageability, reliability, and telemetry.
• Own, triage, investigate, and resolve service issues, emphasizing broad communication, learning, and teaching throughout the process.
• Read, write, configure, design, and script end-to-end service telemetry, alerting, and self-healing capabilities for platforms.
• Author functional and technical documentation, communicating at a deep technical level with product engineering, project management, and operations teams to optimize products, improve infrastructure, and evolve services.
• Stay current on new technologies, methods, and procedures, including Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment practices.
• Participates in live site incidents discussions and document solutions and insights that inform ongoing improvements to infrastructure, code, tools, and/or processes that prevent the recurrence of similar issues.
