ROLE:
The Site Reliability Engineer will participate in the monitoring and improvement of one of PeopleReady’s enterprise applications. She/he will use infrastructure monitoring tools to assess the overall system health providing metrics and visualization to report health to development/support teams. This role will also work closely with engineering teams to help evangelize infrastructure as code practices with all future development. This role will require a strong understanding of dev ops principles along with a high level of verbal and written communication.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build a deep understanding of how our systems work, scale, and fail, to provide guidance to identify risks and opportunities
- Ability to develop and use IAAS tools to automate/iterate improvements to the infrastructure supporting our application and developer experience
- Use observability tools and data to ensure uptime and performance of the application
- Develop and measure metrics, SLOs, KPIs, and visualizations to access environment health
- Provide support for investigating/identifying system performance issues
- Work collaboratively with PeopleReady software engineers as well as nearshore consultant engineers
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years working with AWS native applications
- 4+ years of experience working with IAAS resource provisioning scripting languages (TerraForm preferred)
- 3+ years of experience working observability tools like Dynatrace
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline products like Gitlab, Jenkins, and Octopus
- Experience working with and supporting on-call rotation tools like Pager duty
- Experience with supporting/troubleshooting distributed systems in a cloud native environment
- Experience with visualization/graphing tools like Grafana
- Experience with maintaining and supporting logging infrastructure
- Self-sufficient and highly motivated, self-directed and possess high energy
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience developing with Object Oriented programming (desired)
- Experience working in a greenfield project environment (desired)
- Experience with relational/non-relational databases (desired)
- Experience working in a virtual delivery environment (desired)

- Location- Sector 48, Gurgaon
- Work Model- All 5-days work from office
- Shift Timings- 5:30pm to 2:30 am IST (with both sides cab)
