Job Description

Software Engineers are responsible for designing, developing, and delivering products and services to delight customers and grow the business. This role involves creating high-quality, scalable, and high-performing solutions aligned with business and technology goals. The engineer will collaborate with technology leaders and senior engineers to maintain consistent practices across the Publishing Technology team. Responsibilities include responding swiftly to production incidents and providing support as needed, while continuously learning and improving skills in emerging technologies and new toolsets, sharing knowledge with other engineers.

The Nine Publishing Technology team continually delivers and maintains premium, market leading digital products, including: smh.com.au, theage.com.au and afr.com.au across multiple platforms and systems.  Software Engineers are responsible for the design, development, and delivery of products and services that delight our customers, and grow the business.  You will be responsible for developing high-quality, scalable and high performing solutions that align to business and technology goals. You will be working with technology leaders and other senior engineers to ensure consistency of our practices and processes across the Publishing Technology team.  You will work in a busy and stimulating environment responding swiftly to resolve production incidents as required and be available to support your products and services as needed. You will continuously learn and improve on your skills in emerging technologies and new toolsets and share knowledge and learnings with other engineers.
