Our client is seeking a dynamic Solutions Architect to lead the charge in crafting cutting-edge architectural strategies and solutions. As a key player in client's team, you will be instrumental in aligning technical solutions with business goals, ensuring innovation and efficiency at every turn. 
 
Our direct Fortune 500 client is looking for someone to join the Engineering team to provide strategic direction and leadership, guiding architectural decisions to deliver top-tier solutions.
 
This is a 3-6 – month contract + possible extension. The team is located in Newark, Delaware, and the role is on-site 3 days/week (2 days/week remote).
Onward Search provides benefits for 40 hour work week and weekly paychecks (W2) for duration of the contract. 

Solutions Architect Key Responsibilities: 

• Strategic Development: Define and implement architectural strategies, roadmaps, and standards that align with business objectives and industry best practices.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with executive leadership, business units, and IT teams to translate requirements into robust architectural solutions.
• Team Mentorship: Mentor and collaborate with a team of engineers and architects, fostering professional growth and providing essential guidance.
• Design Oversight: Oversee the creation of architectural artifacts, including solution blueprints and technology assessments.
• Technology Evaluation: Assess emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and enhanced performance.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure adherence to architectural standards across projects, conducting reviews and offering improvement recommendations.
• Project Alignment: Collaborate with project managers and development teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Risk Management: Identify and resolve architectural issues, proactively mitigating potential challenges.
• Industry Engagement: Stay informed on industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Vendor Collaboration: Work with vendors and partners to evaluate and select technology solutions that align with business goals.

Solutions Architect Qualifications: 

• 6+ years in software architecture and design, with at least 3 years managing teams.
• Proven experience in developing enterprise architecture roadmaps and implementing technology solutions.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Experience with cloud computing, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
