Job Description

As a Stock Controller at ONI, you will be responsible for managing inventory and stock management processes. This includes receiving, storing, issuing, and reconciling inventory; performing product kitting; collaborating with manufacturing teams; managing Bill of Materials (BOM) updates; supporting Sales and Operations Execution processes; ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations; coordinating stock transfers; monitoring expiry dates; maintaining inventory levels; conducting audits; allocating materials; tracking allocations; identifying and resolving discrepancies; and supporting continuous improvement of inventory control processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with ERP systems.

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Stock Controller to take full ownership of our inventory and stock management processes. This role is critical to supporting our consumables and hardware manufacturing teams by ensuring accurate, efficient and timely availability of materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in ERP systems, stock allocation and maintaining accurate inventory records




Your Role at ONI:
  • Take full ownership of stock management activities, including receiving, storing, issuing and reconciling inventory.
  • Perform consumables product kitting to customers and internal demands.
  • Work closely with consumables and hardware manufacturing teams to ensure material readiness and availability.
  • Collaborating with the PLE team to implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) updates and revisions.
  • Supporting Sales and Operations Execution processes.
  • Ensure all stock handling activities are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinating and managing stock transfers between US and UK sites.
  • Monitoring consumable expiry dates and ensuring timely disposal to minimise waste.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile physical stock with the ERP system.
  • Accurately allocate materials to appropriate departments or projects.
  • Track stock allocations and material usage in line with operational needs.
  • Identify and resolve stock discrepancies or reporting issues promptly.
  • Support continuous improvement of inventory control processes.


Essential skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in stock control, inventory management or a similar role.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of kitting processes and stock usage in consumables or hardware production.
